"Path to Paradise" acrylic on canvas original from "Cycle Paths" series

A huge section of the most scenic land in our County is preserved from development: valuable as a flood-control component and an oasis for people fleeing our urban chaos! After almost two decades and many hours of volunteer help, one of the finest off-road riding and hiking trail systems in Florida winds its way thru this land.
“This trail system is a monument to what can be accomplished by cooperation between government, land management and a public hungry for the great out doors. As an artist- and proud to be included in the list of off-road biking pioneers of this trail network- I felt the need to paint this area with its miles of unpaved tracks, paths and old fence lines to ride and not a “keep out” sign to be seen.
“I rode the 15 mile loop that connects Trout Creek Park to Morris Bridge and the Flatwoods Parks taking photographs of many of my favorite spots along the trails. From these photos I’ve painted a “Biker’s Dozen” canvases to recreate the peace and beauty of this gem of a park.”
